Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Wastewater Operations Technician to cover multiple contracted facilities, providing coverage during vacations and absences while developing local operations teams. The role includes troubleshooting, process changes for compliance, sampling, and reporting.

Significant travel is required, potentially 1–2 weeks or longer, across designated regions. Responsibilities include providing hands-on training, maintaining safety, and ensuring best practices at Veolia facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google suite.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic wastewater environment.
• 3+ years of experience in wastewater treatment operations or related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage of Veolia facilities across the region during vacations or absences.
• Train and develop local technicians, create training materials and SOPs.
• Monitor and adjust processes to meet compliance and optimize treatment.
• Collect and test wastewater samples and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with client management and Sweot team for startup projects.
• Operate pumps, motors, and valves to regulate flow and ensure treatment quality.
