Job summary

Veolia is seeking a traveling Wastewater Operations Technician to support multiple contracted facilities in the region. The role covers vacations and absences, trains local technicians, and assists with new account start-ups, with emphasis on process changes, lab testing, and compliance reporting.

Travel is extensive, often 1–2 weeks or up to a month. The candidate will operate pumps and valves, collect samples, and document data while ensuring safety and adherence to Veolia procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Willingness to learn Wastewater treatment processes.
• Operational experience with site equipment preferred.
• 3+ years in wastewater operations or related field.
• Traveling work role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of Veolia facilities in the region.
• Train and develop local technicians in region.
• Ensure industry standards and best practices are used.
• Support new account start-up projects with SWOT team.
• Provide troubleshooting support to local technicians.
• Operate and control pumps, motors, and valves to regulate plant flow.
• Collect and test wastewater samples.
• Maintain accurate client data records.
• Coordinate with maintenance and third-party services.
• Safety compliance with Veolia programs.
