Job summary

Veolia's Water Technology division seeks a travel-oriented Wastewater Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences across multiple facilities in the region. You will train local technicians, support start-ups, and ensure compliant operation, maintenance, sampling, and data recording across sites.

Travel is a core element, with assignments ranging from short stints to extended deployments. Candidates should have 3+ years in wastewater plant ops, strong mechanical aptitude, and solid

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Wastewater treatment plant operations or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, required.
• Willingness to learn and be able take instructions on Wastewater treatment processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational coverage across Veolia facilities during vacations and absences.
• Assist in training local technicians and developing training resources.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, lab procedures, and preventative maintenance.
• Support start-up projects and coordinate with management and technicians.
• Troubleshoot process issues and optimize treatment based on data.
• Operate pumps, motors, and valves to regulate wastewater flow.
• Collect and test samples and maintain accurate data records.
• Work in a travel-intensive role, covering multiple sites as needed.
