Union Pacific Corporation in Marshalltown, IA is seeking a Track Laborer - Regional to support upkeep and repair of railroad tracks across your designated territory. You will perform inspections, repairs, and installations to keep trains safe and on time.

The role requires you to be 18+, have a valid driver's license, and pass an English assessment before interview. You will work outdoors in varied conditions and may travel frequently, including weekends and holidays.

Qualificações

• Must be 18 or older.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct thorough inspections of railroad tracks, track beds, and right-of-way to identify problems or defects.
• Perform repairs and replacements of rails, anchors, spikes, ballast, ties, and other components.
• Assist with handling, unloading, and movement of track materials and equipment.
• Execute track maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations, possibly operating heavy equipment.
• Maintain track beds by removing vegetation and debris; sweeping and digging as needed.
• Adhere to safety rules and procedures at all times.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and customers; handle high-pressure situations.
• Ensure compliance with railroad rules and FRA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
