Responsibilities

• Inspect railroad tracks, beds, and right-of-way to identify defects.
• Repair and replace rails, anchors, spikes, ballast, ties, and related components.
• Assist with handling, unloading, and movement of track materials and equipment; operate heavy gear as needed.
• Perform track maintenance tasks and installations; work in various weather conditions.
• Maintain track beds by clearing vegetation and debris; ensure compliance with FRA rules.
