Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is seeking a Track Laborer - Regional to help maintain and upgrade railroad tracks across a designated territory. You will perform maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure safe, efficient train movement and contribute to a long-running network that serves customers across North America.

Candidates must have a CDL (Class A or B), be 21 or older, and pass an English assessment before the interview.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must have valid CDL Class A or B.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to understand and follow safety rules and regulations.
• English assessment required before interview.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and/or customers.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, operational guidelines, and FRA requirements.
• Transport track materials and equipment using appropriate load/unload devices.
• Perform regular maintenance, repairs, installations on tracks.
• Maintain the trackbed, remove/replace ballast and tamp ballast.
• Operate equipment safely to drive spikes and adjust track bolts.
• Additional duties may be assigned.
