Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is hiring a Track Laborer - Regional to support track maintenance and repair across designated territory. Responsibilities include handling track materials, performing maintenance tasks, and ensuring safe, compliant operations in line with FRA requirements.

The role requires a CDL (Class A or B) on hire, good driving record, and the ability to pass an English assessment. It is a physically demanding, on-site position with potential travel and shift variety.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• CDL Class A or B required upon hire.
• Must pass English assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and/or customers.
• Comply with safety regulations, FRA requirements, and operating guidelines.
• Transport track materials and equipment using load/unload devices.
• Perform maintenance, repair, installation, and removal of track components.
• Maintain trackbed by removing ballast, tamping, and unloading ballast from ballast cars.
• Operate equipment safely to drive spikes and tighten track bolts.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
