Job summary

VPG is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Manager to expand our OEM market footprint from Newark, USA. The role focuses on identifying new customers, engaging existing accounts, and driving development projects with R&D and engineering teams to secure timely outcomes.

The candidate should bring 10+ years in selling technical industrial automation sensors to OEMs, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a proven track record in managing multi-year contracts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of sales and business development of Industrial Automation sensors to OEMs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics).
• Significant experience selling technical products.
• Strong business/finance background and understanding of transactional processes.
• Experience negotiating multi-year contracts with large, global OEMs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Must reside in Midwest to Mid-Atlantic regions.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential new customers within OEM market and region to achieve new business sales.
• Proactively engage existing customers to maximize sales growth.
• Lead development projects with R&D, Engineering, QA and others to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Negotiate contracts with purchasing and key decision makers to establish profitable relationships.
• Analyze and report sales and project data and forecast future regional performance.
