Job summary

Vishay Precision Group, Inc. (VPG) seeks a Technical Sales Manager to drive new business and manage major OEM accounts across defined regions in the Midwest to Mid-Atlantic.

The role emphasizes pro-active customer development, leadership of cross-functional projects with R&D and QA, and strategic contract negotiations. Required are 10+ years in industrial automation sales, a strong business background, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business/ Engineering required.
• 10+ years of experience in sales and business development of Industrial Automation products/sensors to OEMs.
• Significant experience in sales of technical products.
• Strong business/finance background and experience.
• Knowledge of commercial transactional processes in sales.
• Previous experience negotiating multi-year contracts with large, global OEMs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Must reside in the Midwest to Mid-Atlantic Areas.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential new customers within the defined OEM market segment and region to achieve new business sales.
• Engage with existing customers to maximize sales and organic growth.
• Lead development projects by coordinating with R&D, Engineering, QA and other teams to ensure timely completion.
• Negotiate contracts with purchasing and other decision makers to establish profitable relationships.
• Analyze and report key sales data and forecast future expectations for the region.
