Job summary

VPG is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for the USA-Pittsburgh area. You will drive new OEM business, manage key accounts, and partner with R&D, engineering, and QA to bring projects from concept to completion.

The role requires 10+ years in industrial automation sales, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and residence in the Midwest to Mid-Atlantic. Salary ranges from $105,000 to $155,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/ Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics).
• 10+ years in sales and business development of Industrial Automation products to OEMs.
• Significant experience in sales of technical products.
• Must reside in the Midwest to Mid-Atlantic Areas.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential new customers within the defined OEM market segment and region, qualify and develop them to achieve new business sales in line with company strategy.
• Proactively engage with existing customers within the defined OEM market segments and region to maximize Sales and organic growth.
• Be the face of the company; lead development projects with prospect or customer and internal teams to ensure timely completion.
• Negotiate contracts with purchasing and other key decision makers to establish firm and profitable relationships.
• Analyze and report key sales data and forecast future expectations for the region.
