Job summary

Signify, including Cooper Lighting Solutions, seeks a Regional Specification Sales Manager to lead specification sales across the southern United States from a home-based setup near Florida, Alabama, or Mississippi. You will influence design decisions, coach agents, and build strategic relationships with architects and lighting consultants.

The role demands 5+ years in specification sales within lighting/building tech, strong leadership, and a background in engineering or architecture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field essential for understanding lighting design and technology.
~5+ years of experience in specification sales or business development within the lighting or building technology industry, including leadership of technical teams and stakeholder engagement.
Relevant professional certifications in lighting design are preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and motivate a team of lighting agents.
Define the market influence strategy to position Signify/CLS as a thought leader in lighting design and technology.
Oversee specification activities to secure inclusion of Signify’s/CLS products in project designs and building standards.
Build and maintain relationships with key architects, lighting designers, and engineering consultants.
Represent Signify in design and specifier industry forums, conferences, and industry associations.
Identify specification gaps and feedback to offer management to develop new lighting products and solutions.
