Job summary

Signify – Cooper Lighting Solutions seeks a Regional Specification Sales Manager to drive specification opportunities across the Southern United States. The role is remote, home-based near Florida, Alabama, or Mississippi, with leadership of technical sales teams and direct engagement with architects and design firms.

You will define market strategies, shape product inclusion in designs, and collaborate with the design community to advance connected lighting and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field.
• ~5+ years of experience in specification sales or business development within the lighting or building technology industry.
• Relevant professional certifications in lighting design are preferred.
• Experience leading technical teams and engaging stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and motivate a team of lighting agents.
• Define market influence strategy to position Signify/CLS as a thought leader in lighting design and technology.
• Oversee specification activities to secure inclusion of Signify’s/CLS products and systems in project designs, tender documents, and building standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with key architects, lighting designers, and engineering consultants.
• Represent Signify in design and specifier industry forums, conferences, and industry associations to strengthen brand reputation.
• Identify specification gaps in current product offerings and provide feedback to development teams.
