GitLab is seeking a leader to build and coach the regional SME team that wins our most complex opportunities. The team spans four product groups: Security & Compliance, Platform, Core DevSecOps, and AI & Competitive, and partners with regional sales to place SMEs where they add the most value.

This is a player-coach role. You’ll stay close to the technology, mentor staff, and step into strategic deals as executive sponsor when needed, ensuring high‑quality PoV design and credible

Competenze

• 5+ years leading technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or consulting teams.
• Hands-on depth in at least one product group and breadth to coach across all four.
• Track record hiring and developing high-performing technical specialists.
• Experience partnering with sales leaders on enterprise forecasts and strategic deals.

Mansioni

• Hire, develop and retain a regional SME team across four product groups.
• Partner with regional sales and AVPs on deal strategy and forecasts.
• Coach SMEs on PoV design, executive storytelling and competitive positioning.
• Ensure accurate engagement data in Salesforce and contribute to a global playbook.
• Lead strategic deals as an executive technical sponsor when required.
