Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals seeks a Regional Safety, Health and Environmental Manager 2 to oversee safety programs across branches in the region. The role requires developing and implementing SH&E policies, training safety personnel, and driving compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Safety/OSH, 5+ years in SH&E, and relevant certifications. Willingness to travel up to 75% and to lead safety initiatives is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years working with Safety, Health and Environmental Management Systems and implementation of safety programs.
• Preferred Safety Certification: OHST, CHST, SMS, GSP.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to present information in classroom or conference call settings.
• Ability to develop and execute a strategic plan with measurable goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of occupational safety management at assigned profit centers.
• Communicate safety issues to the Safety Director.
• Prepare reports and recommend procedures to improve performance.
• Lead safety inspections, audits and compliance at branches within the region.
• Train and guide Safety Coordinators to ensure consistent policy implementation.
• Track and trend regional performance and an indicators program.
