Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Safety Coordinator to lead safety initiatives across multiple profit centers within the region. You will conduct inspections, implement corrective actions, and train staff to ensure compliance with safety programs and regulations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field, strong communication, and the ability to travel as needed. A proven track record in safety management and proficiency with Microsoft Office is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field, or equivalent work experience with safety program implementation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for addressing individuals or groups.
• Ability to present information in classroom or conference call settings.
• Ability to develop and execute a strategic plan with leading and lagging indicators.
• Willingness to travel; overnight travel required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports and recommend procedures to improve performance.
• Oversee safety protocol integrity at profit centers within the region.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits per program criteria.
• Assign Safety Coordinators to locations and provide training guidance.
• Identify deficiencies and issue corrective actions with timelines.
• Deliver ongoing safety training modules to employees.
• Assist with safety documentation, meetings, and training maintenance.
• Track and trend locations for safety program adherence.
