Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Safety, Health & Environmental leader to oversee safety protocols across multiple profit centers in the region.

The role involves audits, training, and coordinating Safety Coordinators to ensure consistent policy implementation and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in safety and at least 5 years of SH&E experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in safety.
• Minimum 5 years of Safety, Health and Environmental Management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to present information in classroom or conference calls.
• Strategic planning with leading and lagging indicators.
• Ability to travel; overnight travel required.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and DOT safety knowledge.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Oversee integrity and quality of safety protocols at profit centers.
• Conduct PC safety inspections and audits following program criteria.
• Assign and train Safety Coordinators across locations.
• Provide ongoing safety training modules for staff.
• Track and trend location performance and safety indicators.
• Develop annual SH&E strategic plans with RVP input.
• Distribute weekly safety performance reports to leadership.
• Lead regional Safety Coordinator meetings and boot camp.
• Support incident investigations and reporting with PCM.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and stand downs.
