Job summary
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a seasoned SH&E professional to lead safety programs across its regional centers. You will develop and implement compliance initiatives, conduct inspections, and work with Profit Center Managers to maintain high safety standards.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Occupational Safety and Health (or related field) and at least five years of experience, strong Excel/Office skills, and willingness to travel. The base pay range reflects market with comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field or equivalent work experience with 5+ years in Safety/SH&E programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills when addressing individuals or groups.
- Ability to present information in classroom or conference settings.
- Ability to develop and execute a strategic plan with measurable goals based on leading and lagging indicators.
Responsibilities
- Prepare reports and recommend procedures to improve organizational performance.
- Oversee safety protocols and compliance at profit centers within the region.
- Conduct safety inspections and audits per program criteria including training, regulatory compliance, and fleet safety.
- Lead Safety Coordinators and assign safety staff at locations.
- Deliver safety training modules and monitor ongoing safety initiatives.
- Support incident investigations and communicate findings to relevant managers.
- Lead regional safety meetings and annual Safety Coordinator Boot Camp.
