Job summary

Digital Monitoring Products is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to support the North American dealer and integrator network, design and scope security systems, and translate technical capabilities into practical deployments.

You will cover intrusion detection, access control, and video surveillance, travel 25–40% across NA, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape the roadmap.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or technical support role within the physical security industry.
• Hands-on knowledge of intrusion detection systems, including control panels, keypads, communicators, sensors, and central station monitoring workflows.
• Working knowledge of access control platforms and video surveillance systems (VMS, IP cameras, NVRs).
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, cellular/broadband) and cybersecurity best practices for security devices.
• Experience supporting security dealers, integrators, and enterprise end-users, with ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Excellent verbal/written communication; able to present to technical and executive stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects; travel 25–40% within North America.
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary technical resource for the North American sales team and dealer/integrator network.
• Design and scope integrated security systems focusing on intrusion panels and peripheral devices, plus access control and video components.
• Respond to technical inquiries, RFPs, and proof-of-concept requests promptly.
• Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to dealers, integrators, and enterprise end-users.
• Conduct site assessments and produce system design docs, including panel configurations, zone layouts, network architecture, and device schedules.
