Job summary

Lonestar Forklift in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead a sales team and drive revenue growth. You will hire, train, and coach reps, set targets, and monitor pipeline performance using CRM data to optimize profitability.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years outside sales, leadership experience, a post-secondary business-related degree, strong presentation and negotiation skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years outside sales experience in material handling equipment or related industry.
• Proven leadership experience in a sales role.
• Post-secondary education in business, sales, marketing, or related field.
• Skilled in cold calling and telephone marketing.
• Excellent presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a plus.
• Highly organized, with strong time management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Hire and develop a sales team based on market penetration and profitability requirements.
• Provide ongoing sales training, coaching, and mentorship for Sales Representatives.
• Create targets for your sales team and provide coaching to meet them.
• Manage monthly commissions for Sales Representatives.
• Create reports analyzing sales activity and trends.
• Use the CRM system to monitor and manage pipeline metrics.
• Work with business units to target large accounts.
• Identify and target complex accounts to be managed by the Sales Manager.
• Visit customers with Sales Reps when needed.
• Ensure reps focus on driving rental revenue.
• Partner with manufacturers as directed by the General Manager.
• Handle elevated customer concerns for the Sales department.
• Stay informed about competitor activity and pricing strategies.
