Job summary

EBSCO Information Services, Inc. seeks a Regional Sales Manager to visit public libraries and K-12 schools, build relationships, and generate new business while retaining current revenue. Territory includes DC, DE, KY, PA, NJ, VA, and WV, with remote field-based work and 50%+ travel.

You will collaborate with sales leadership, product specialists, and account teams to achieve growth, manage quotes, and schedule trials. Significant travel and deep product knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of true outside sales experience.
• Strong organizational skills, calendar management and experience with Office software and CRM account management tools.
• Applicants must live within the territory and preferably in Eastern PA (Philly area), New Jersey, Baltimore, MD, or Richmond, VA area.
• Previous travel experience and the ability to travel 50-70% of the time is required.

Responsibilities

• Retain existing revenue and develop new opportunities to meet sales growth and renewal quotas.
• Meet or exceed in-person visit targets (40 per month) and provide balanced coverage across the territory.
• Collaborate with Director of Sales, Account Executive, and product specialists to achieve sales goals.
• Travel 50% or more, including conferences and sales meetings as needed.
• Develop expert knowledge of EBSCO Information Services products and competitive offerings.
• Deliver professional presentations using PowerPoint and live demos.
• Qualify customer needs, prepare quotes/pricing, and coordinate trials with Account Executive.
• Maintain daily sales activities and pipeline for accurate forecasting.
