Job summary

Emser Tile is seeking a Business Development Manager in Houston, TX to mentor Branch-based Outside Sales Representatives and drive product sales while delivering superior customer service. The role aims to maximize market penetration and margin potential across Commercial, Retail and Builder channels.

You will develop and retain an effective sales force capable of increasing sales, while collaborating with Branch Managers and National Account Managers to meet regional objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Extensive working knowledge of Commercial/Retail/Builder sales.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements specialized or targeted sales strategies.
• Coaches and directs highly qualified Commercial/Retail/Builder Sales Representatives.
• Trains Sales Representatives with presentation skills, product knowledge, internal procedures, buying group programs and Emser promotions.
• Develops business relationships with key Commercial/Retailers/Builders within assigned region.
• Defines goals and communicates objectives to sales representatives; measures performance against objectives.
• Communicates with Branch Managers and Outside Sales Representatives to achieve mutual goals within budgets.
• Performs other duties to support Corporate and Regional Objectives.
• Partners with National Account Managers, Directors, and Regional Business Partners.
