Job summary

Emser Tile is seeking an Outside Sales Representative (OSR) to call on existing and new clientele, builders, designers, and general contractors across the assigned territory, driving sales and expanding channels.

The OSR will develop new client opportunities, maintain current accounts, and promote Emser products through proactive service and market insights, working independently yet aligning with team goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in outside sales, preferably in flooring/building materials
• Strong analytical skills to identify client needs and align with products
• Proven collaborative sales techniques and negotiation ability
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with Emser clients and influencers
• Ability to analyze market conditions and competitive responses
• Strong listening and communication abilities with energy and enthusiasm
• Flexibility to maximize opportunities as they arise
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• College BA/BS degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Identifies and establishes relationships with new and existing clientele
• Travels throughout territory to call on regular and prospective customers
• Works independently yet cooperatively with company goals
• Provides industry-leading service by processing orders and credits promptly
• Builds strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding needs
• Sets up and maintains client displays and merchandising samples
• Promotes new products during calls and onsite meetings
• Develops deep knowledge of Emser products
• Responds to marketplace with informed, prompt follow-up
• Monitors market movement and penetration, reporting insights
• Attends trade and industry events to expand client knowledge of Emser
