Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead a geographically dispersed sales team across the East region of the United States. You will drive revenue growth, influence design decisions, and develop a high-performing team of Territory Sales Managers focused on demand creation and market penetration.

Responsibilities include coaching teams, achieving regional revenue targets, and building strong relationships with distributors, engineers, and end users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive sales, business development, or commercial leadership experience.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience leading remote or geographically dispersed sales teams.
• Demonstrated success delivering profitable growth through new business development, market expansion, and customer acquisition.
• Experience influencing specifications, Basis of Design decisions, or upstream purchasing decisions within complex sales cycles.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience coaching, developing, and leading field sales professionals.
• Experience with mechanical rotating equipment such as centrifugal pumps.
• Experience with HVAC, fire, and/or commercial plumbing systems preferred.
• Excellent presentation skills, including presenting to engineering firms & building owners.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite, CRM (Salesforce) and equipment selection software (Encompass).

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Territory Sales Managers across the region.
• Conduct regular sales reviews, pipeline inspections, and provide guidance to team members.
• Lead region to achieve revenue, profitability, and growth objectives.
• Build a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability and collaboration.
• Develop and execute regional business plans aligning with growth priorities.
• Drive demand creation activities influencing design decisions with distributors and engineers.
• Expand market share by identifying new customer opportunities and growth initiatives.
• Establish strong relationships with customers, channel partners, and industry influencers.
• Conduct pipeline reviews, opportunity assessments, and forecast discussions.
