Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead commercial growth and market expansion across the East region of the United States. You will guide a dispersed team of Territory Sales Managers, partnering with distributors, engineers, consultants, and end users to accelerate growth and customer engagement.

You will drive demand creation, influence design decisions, and develop regional plans that align with Pentair's strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive sales, business development, or commercial leadership experience.
• 3+ years of remote or geographically dispersed sales team leadership.
• Proven track record of profitable growth via new business development and market expansion.
• Experience influencing specifications or Basis of Design decisions in complex sales cycles.
• 5+ years of people leadership coaching and development of field sales pros.
• Experience with mechanical rotating equipment such as centrifugal pumps is preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC, fire, or commercial plumbing systems is a plus.
• Excellent presentation skills with engineering firms and building owners.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Territory Sales Managers across the region.
• Conduct regular sales reviews, pipeline inspections, and guidance to achieve regional objectives.
• Build a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability and collaboration.
• Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with growth priorities.
• Drive demand creation and influence specification and Basis of Design decisions.
• Expand market share by identifying new customer opportunities and initiatives.
• Establish relationships with customers, distributors, engineers, and end users.
• Lead pipeline reviews, opportunity assessments, and forecast discussions.
