Job summary

IES is seeking a Safety professional to implement, administer and monitor safety programs across multiple locations and projects within the assigned region. You will ensure compliance with IES policies and federal/state standards while developing health initiatives to prevent incidents and injuries.

The role includes conducting safety audits, delivering trainings, coordinating root cause investigations, and preparing concise reports.

Qualifications

CHST certification or equivalent requirement.
7+ years of experience in construction safety, preferably telecom or electrical industries.
Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Safety and Health Regulations for Construction.
Knowledge of Confined Space Entry Standards 1926.1200 Subpart AA.
Current status as an Authorized OSHA OTI 500 Construction Outreach Trainer.

Responsibilities

Fully support all safety policies, procedures and programs and federal/state standards.
Ensure implementation and compliance within divisions and site policies.
Develop action plans for branches/offices not meeting safety goals.
Perform safety trainings and prepare reports of audits and issues.
Conduct/root cause investigations for incidents and near misses.
Travel as required for business needs.
Establish communication forums within region.
