Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• EMT or higher credentials preferred.
• 5+ years of construction safety experience (telecom/electrical preferred).
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and Confined Space Entry Standards 1926.1200 Subpart AA.
• Authorized OSHA OTI 500 Construction Outreach Trainer.
• CHST certification or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and interact with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support all IES safety policies, procedures and programs; ensure compliance with standards.
• Deliver safety presentations and safety training as required.
• Schedule and perform safety audits/inspections for compliance.
• Oversee confined space entry activities and documentation.
• Identify hazards and develop corrective action plans with operations.
• Lead root cause investigations and develop prevention measures.
• Deliver new employee orientation and OSHA training.
• Prepare safety reports and investigations; communicate findings.
• Lead OSHA inspection processes with stakeholders.
• Maintain safety records and reports; mentor stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities with site management and other teams.
