Job summary

IES is seeking a Traveling/Hybrid Safety Leader to implement and monitor safety programs across regional sites. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and site standards while driving safety initiatives to prevent incidents.

The role requires CHST or equivalent, OSHA 510/500 and OSHA 30, First Aid CPR, and proficiency with MS Office. Occasional travel, OT and weekend work may be needed to meet safety goals.

Qualifications

  • Must have CHST (Construction Health/Safety Technician) certification or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • OSHA 510/500, OSHA 30 certification.
  • First Aid CPR certified.
  • Proficient with MS Office 365; Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; customer relations skills.
  • Willing to travel regionally; able to work OT and weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, administer and monitor all safety policies for locations and projects in the region.
  • Ensure compliance with IES and site safety policies and Federal/State standards.
  • Develop and manage safety initiatives to prevent incidents and injuries.
  • Perform workplace hazard analysis and address findings with operations.
  • Schedule safety audits and coordinate inspections for compliance.
  • Conduct root-cause investigations and prepare concise reports.
  • Deliver safety training to management; mentor stakeholders in safety culture.
  • Travel as required for business needs; participate in hiring site safety staff.
