Job summary

IES is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement, administer, and coordinate all safety programs and training for the assigned project and related sites. This role ensures compliance with IES, site, and federal/state standards, develops health initiatives, and aims to prevent incidents.

EMT or higher credentials are strongly preferred. The candidate will lead safety presentations, conduct jobsite safety audits, manage confined space activities, investigate incidents, and deliver new-employee

Qualifications

• Must hold at least a High School diploma or GED; Associate degree or higher preferred.
• EMT or higher credentials preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Safety and Health Regulations for Construction.

Responsibilities

• Fully support all IES and Site/Customer safety policies and programs and Federal and State Standards.
• Perform safety audits/inspections to ensure compliance with safety policies and standards.
• Deliver and coordinate safety training including OSHA 10/30 hour and NEO.
• Prepare written reports on safety audits and investigations.
• Conduct root cause investigations on incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Lead OSHA inspection processes and communicate with stakeholders.
• Maintain safety records and reports.
• Mentor stakeholders to uphold safety culture.
