Job summary

IES is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement and maintain safety policies across projects. The role focuses on training, inspections, and incident investigations to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with federal and state standards.

EMT or higher credentials are strongly preferred, with a strong emphasis on OSHA regulations and a proactive safety culture. You will coordinate with site management, conduct audits, deliver orientation and safety training, and prepare concise reports.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Associate degree or higher preferred.
• EMT or higher credentials preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Safety and Health Regulations.
• Confined Space Entry standards experience preferred.
• Authorized OSHA OTI 500 Construction Outreach Trainer status preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Support safety policies and programs across sites and customers.
• Deliver safety training including OSHA 10/30 and NEO for new hires and staff.
• Conduct site safety audits and inspections for compliance.
• Lead root cause investigations for incidents and near-misses.
• Prepare safety reports and maintain related records.
• Coordinate with site management and stakeholders on safety actions.
