Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a senior safety professional to implement, administer, and monitor safety programs across locations and clients. You will lead hazard analysis, safety training, and incident investigations to prevent injuries and incidents.

The role requires CHST/OSHA credentials, strong communication skills, and travel within the region. Applicants should have seven years of construction safety experience, knowledge of OSHA standards, and the ability to lead safety initiatives,

Qualifications

• Must possess CHST certification; will consider other BCSP certifications and/or CSMC.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety.
• OSHA 510/500, OSHA 30, and First Aid CPR certified.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willing to travel within the region; overtime and weekend work as needed.
• Minimum seven years’ experience in construction safety, preferably in telecommunications or electrical industry.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and associated safety standards; Authorized OSHA OTI 500 Construction Outreach Trainer.

Responsibilities

• Fully support all safety policies and programs; ensure compliance with Federal and State standards.
• Develop action plans for branches not meeting safety goals; conduct safety audits and inspections.
• Perform safety presentations, training, and coordinate safety audits.
• Lead root cause investigations on incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Establish communication channels within the region and prepare safety reports.
