Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad invites applications for a Track Laborer - Regional in Spring, TX. In this role you will perform maintenance, repairs, and installations to keep railroad tracks in safe, efficient condition across your designated territory.

You will inspect tracks, assist with heavy equipment, and uphold safety rules under FRA regulations. Join a long-standing team with strong craftsmanship and a focus on reliability.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Proficient verbal and written communication to convey information to coworkers and supervisors.
• Experience reading and understanding instructions and regulatory documents.

Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough inspections of railroad tracks, track beds, and right-of-way.
• Performing repairs and replacements of rails, anchors, spikes, ballast, ties and components.
• Handling, unloading, and movement of track materials and equipment; may dig holes and trenches.
• Executing track maintenance tasks and operating heavy equipment as required.
• Maintaining track beds by clearing vegetation and debris; removing dust or snow from track parts.
• Adhering to safety rules and FRA regulations.
• Building positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors, and customers; handle high-pressure situations.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
