Job summary

Union Pacific Corporation in Ranger, TX is seeking a Track Laborer - Regional to maintain and repair railroad tracks across designated territory. You will perform essential maintenance, repairs and installations to ensure safe and efficient train movement across North America.

Requirements include a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) upon hire, being at least 21 years old, and the ability to pass an English assessment before interview.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B.
• Demonstrate ability to follow instructions and operate safely under regulations.
• Be physically capable to perform demanding labor tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and/or customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, operational guidelines, and FRA requirements.
• Transport track materials and equipment using appropriate devices.
• Perform maintenance on tracks, and repair/install/remove components as needed.
• Maintain trackbed, ballast handling and tamping.
• Operate equipment to drive spikes and adjust track bolts.
• Assist with on-call, overtime and varied shifts as required.
