Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is hiring a Track Laborer - Regional in Spring, TX. You will join a team maintaining and repairing railroad tracks across your designated territory, ensuring safe and efficient train movements for North America.

The role requires a CDL at hire, a valid MVR, and completion of an English assessment before interview. Expect physical duties, outdoor work, and potential travel to different sites.

Qualifications

• CDL required upon hire and valid throughout employment.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driving record (MVR) required.
• Must pass English assessment before interview.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and/or customers.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, operational guidelines, and FRA requirements.
• Handle and transport track materials and equipment using appropriate load/unload devices.
• Perform regular maintenance on tracks, and repair, install, and remove components as needed.
• Maintain the trackbed, including ballast removal, tamping, and unloading ballast from ballast cars.
• Operate equipment to drive spikes, tighten/loosen track bolts, and remove spikes with pullers.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
