Qualifications

• Two years of college or equivalent work experience.
• Certified Property Manager designation or candidate status.
• Five years of supervisory experience in property management including on-site management.
• Knowledge of property maintenance, marketing, and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and coordinates a communication system among Property Managers and Home Office.
• Hires, trains, supervises, develops, and terminates supervised staff; conducts performance evaluations.
• Monitors marketing activities, occupancy status, and rent schedules.
• Audits property administration, accounting, and maintenance to ensure policy compliance.
• Inspects properties for quality standards and market-ready condition.
• Develops corrective programs for apartment communities as needed.
• Prepares and coordinates annual operating and capital budgets; reviews budget performance.
• Reviews and approves expenditures within budget; evaluates contracts.
• Develops and updates property management forms, reports, and manuals.
• Conducts meetings and develops property management training for all departments.
• Coordinates staffing and office setup for new communities.
