Job summary

WSP seeks a Project Controls Team Leader to guide a multidisciplinary team across TXLA, driving financial performance and project excellence. The role blends operational leadership with hands-on project controls across a diverse portfolio.

You will partner with project managers and regional leaders to improve performance, forecast outcomes, and implement best practices, while ensuring client delivery and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Environmental Science or similar with a background in environmental, science, or engineering.
• 7+ years of demonstrated post-education experience in financial controls, finance/accounting, scheduling, forecasting or related functions on capital projects.
• 3-5 years of experience leading, mentoring, supervising, and developing multidisciplinary project controls professionals.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Project Controls Team across the Texas and Louisiana portfolio.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development for the team.
• Establish and promote project controls best practices, processes, and performance standards.
• Monitor project financials, schedules, forecasting and KPI
• Support regional leadership and drive operational efficiency.
• Oversee project cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, cash flow analyses, and financial models.
• Develop analytics tools, dashboards and KPIs for informed decision-making.
• Ensure procurement oversight and contract compliance across projects.
