Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Project Controls Team Leader to lead a regional team across Texas and Louisiana, driving planning, cost control, and forecasting for a diverse portfolio of Earth & Environment projects. This hybrid leadership role combines people management with active project delivery, client service, and governance.

You’ll partner with Project Managers and regional leadership to optimize performance, establish standards, and mentor a high-performing team while upholding safety and company

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Environmental Science or similar.
• 7+ years of post-education experience in financial controls, scheduling, forecasting on capital projects.
• 3-5 years of experience leading multidisciplinary project controls teams.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead Project Controls Team across TXLA; oversee financial performance, scheduling, invoicing, and cash collection.
• Provide mentorship and development for team members.
• Establish best practices, processes, and performance standards for project controls across the region.
• Collaborate with project managers and leaders to improve project performance and efficiency.
• Monitor financials, schedules, resource utilization, forecasting, and KPIs.
• Support strategic planning and regional leadership initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and company procedures.
• Oversee procurement, vendor management, and contract compliance.
• Develop analytics tools and dashboards for insights to PMs and clients.
• Prepare performance reports and executive summaries for clients.
