Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Project Controls Team Leader for the Texas & Louisiana region to drive strategy, supervise a dedicated controls team, and ensure successful project delivery with strong financial performance.

You will partner with project managers and technical leaders to optimize schedules, cash flow, and risk management across a diverse environmental and civil portfolio. This hybrid role demands leadership, technical skill, and client-focused execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, finance, environmental science or related field.
• 7+ years of post-education experience in financial controls, finance/accounting, scheduling or forecasting on capital projects.
• 3-5 years of leading, mentoring and developing multidisciplinary project controls professionals.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Project Controls Team across the Texas and Louisiana portfolio, overseeing financial performance, scheduling, invoicing, and cash collection.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for the Project Controls Team.
• Establish and promote project controls best practices, processes, and performance standards regionally.
• Partner with project managers and leadership to improve project performance and efficiency.
• Monitor project financials, schedules, resource utilization, forecasting, and KPIs; support strategic planning.
• Prepare and oversee project cost estimates, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses; ensure earned value management practices.
