Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a seasoned Product Manager to lead LATAM payments initiatives across Brazil, Mexico, and the broader region. You will own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, balancing regulatory needs with growth and checkout optimization to improve conversion and bookings.

The role requires deep payments knowledge, strong cross-functional collaboration, and English fluency, with Portuguese/Spanish strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience in payments or fintech.
• Deep understanding of the payments stack in a marketplace.
• Strong checkout and conversion instincts and optimization.
• Experience with regulatory, tax, and compliance considerations in LATAM.
• Hands-on with payments fundamentals: 3DS/SCA, tokenization, settlement.
• Experience with local payment methods and BNPL options.
• Data-driven KPIs, experiments, and analytics for decisions.
• Technical acumen to partner with engineering and explain concepts clearly.
• English required; Portuguese and/or Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the regional payments product vision, strategy, and roadmap for LATAM (Brazil, Mexico, broader region).
• Prioritize regulatory, growth, and platform work to maximize bookings and conversion.
• Grow via local payment methods and affordability products to improve access and checkout.
• Define requirements for processor and payment-method integrations with Partnerships and Engineering.
• Lead cross-functional collaborations across Legal, Finance, and Country teams.
• Track KPIs across conversion, cost, reliability, and revenue; use data to drive impact.
• Monitor regulatory changes and market developments to inform the roadmap.
• Drive the full product lifecycle from discovery to launch and iteration.
