Job summary

Thompson Tractor Company is seeking an experienced senior leader to direct product support across branch locations in Alabama. The role focuses on safety, profitability, and customer loyalty, with responsibility for budgeting, strategy, and regional execution.

We expect a decade in heavy equipment, at least five years in leadership within product support, and strong cross-functional communication. You will report to the executive team and travel across branches as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years in heavy equipment business.
• Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within product support.
• Strong business acumen to manage product support P&L.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead across branches and regions.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and policy adherence; travel to branches as needed.
• Develop budgets and tactical plans for safety, revenue growth, and customer loyalty.
• Provide strategic direction to branch parts operations.
• Lead and manage direct reports with standardized processes.
• Motivate and retain a high-performing team across the region.
• Position personnel appropriately within branches for world-class coverage.
• Monitor workloads and align resources to commitments.
• Build relationships with key customer managers.
• Participate in Caterpillar product support strategy and events.
• Report to the executive team on needs and performance of the product support group.
