Job summary

Phoenix Contact is seeking a Network Sales Engineer to act as SME for EtherWAN products in the Northern California, Oregon, and Washington region. The role blends technical leadership with customer engagement to support pre-sales, design solutions, and post-sales guidance.

The NSE will travel up to 65% to assist customers, conduct trainings, and collaborate with sales teams, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive revenue and product adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of customer-facing experience.
• Understanding of IT vs OT networking environments.
• CCNA certification or equivalent experiences.
• Willingness to travel ~65% and strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Introduce EtherWAN products and communicate value and applications to customers.
• Project manage field engagements with BD and sales resources.
• Engage with prospects, partners, and customers across regions.
• Conduct training on networking and assist with EtherWAN Academy materials.
• Assist customers with network design and product recommendations.
• Perform client environment simulations to test product feasibility.
• Log technical cases in CRM and collaborate across departments.
• Attend trade shows and industry events as needed.
