Job summary

Phoenix Contact USA is seeking a Network Sales Engineer to serve as the subject matter expert on EtherWAN products, supporting pre-sales, design, and post-sales technical guidance across Northern California, Oregon, and Washington. This role emphasizes collaboration with sales and engineering to deliver customer value and drive product adoption.

The NSE will develop training, perform network audits, design solutions, and assist in complex customer environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of customer-facing experience.
• Understanding of IT vs OT networking environments.
• CCNA certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Technical networking knowledge including OSI model, Layer 2/3 switching, STP, TCP/IP, and routing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Introduce EtherWAN products and articulate value propositions to prospects.
• Project manage field engagements with BD and sales teams.
• Engage with prospects, partners, and customers across regions.
• Provide technical training and develop material for EtherWAN Academy.
• Assist customers with network design, audits, and product recommendations.
• Travel to customer sites as needed and support field activities.
• Log and share customer engagements in CRM across teams.
• Stay informed on industry trends and customer needs.
