Job summary

Phoenix Contact USA is seeking a Network Sales Engineer to serve as the SME on EtherWAN products across Northern California, Oregon and Washington. You will bridge technical knowledge with customer engagement, support pre-sales activities, solution design and post-sales guidance.

The role requires strong presentation and communication skills, Cisco/networking expertise, CCNA, and ability to travel up to 65%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of customer-facing experience.
• Understanding IT vs OT networking environments.
• Direct or Channel technical sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSI model, Layer 2/3 switching, STP, TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF.
• CCNA certification or equivalent.
• Networking certifications are a plus.
• Well organized, self-motivated with transparent communication.
• Proficient with CRM, Visio and MS Office.
• Vertical market knowledge in transportation, security, energy or process automation is a plus.
• Willing to travel 65%.

Responsibilities

• Assist stakeholders by introducing EtherWAN products and communicating value propositions.
• Project manage field engagements with business development and sales resources.
• Engage with prospects, partners and customers across regions.
• Conduct training on Networking from beginner to advanced levels.
• Perform network audits and assist in network design recommendations.
• Log technical support cases and customer information in CRM.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to generate revenue and mindshare.
