Job summary

Kloeckner Metals is seeking a Territory Manager to develop and grow sales across a defined geography, reporting to the Commercial Director. You will manage relationships, call on existing and new accounts, and coordinate with inside sales and production to meet customer needs.

Ideal candidates have metals industry exposure, strong communication and negotiation skills, and a track record in account management and CRM-driven performance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in the metals industry with some level of product knowledge.
• Results-driven with high performance standards.
• Strong external and internal customer focus.
• Experience in sales, management, or account management.
• Experience using a CRM to maximize productivity and sales effectiveness.
• Strong verbal and written communication; listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple customer accounts.

Responsibilities

• Services existing accounts, obtain orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential new business
• Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; making recommendations to management
• Works closely with inside sales and production teams to ensure customer needs are met and problems are adequately resolved in a timely and complete fashion
• Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Provide historical records by maintaining records on territory and customer sales
• Other related duties as assigned
