Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking a proactive Area Manager to oversee janitorial operations across multiple customer locations in the Indianapolis area. You will lead and support janitorial teams, manage staffing and scheduling, maintain quality standards, and build strong relationships with customers to ensure exceptional service.

This hands-on leadership role requires visiting sites, solving problems, monitoring labor budgets, and identifying opportunities for additional services within

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of management experience in a service-related industry.
• Business-level English proficiency (read, write, speak).
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee janitorial operations and employees across multiple customer locations.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach and develop janitorial team members.
• Visit assigned customer sites regularly to ensure service and quality standards.
• Build relationships with customers and resolve service concerns quickly.
• Manage employee schedules and staffing within labor budgets.
• Conduct quality-control inspections and required site visits.
• Lead new-hire orientation and ongoing safety training.
• Review employee performance and create development plans.
• Identify opportunities for additional services within accounts.
• Maintain operational documentation such as timesheets and work orders.
