Job summary

RTI International is seeking a Regional IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical assistance to employees working onsite and remotely. You will handle hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, and training while serving as the primary technology contact for regional offices.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with substantial experience, and strong knowledge of Active Directory, Windows, and Office applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline, plus five years of directly related experience (or equivalent combination).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for onsite and remote employees in regional offices.
• Receive and manage incidents and service requests, troubleshoot, document, resolve, and escalate as needed.
• Provide technical support by phone, email, remote-control tools, and desk-side visits.
• Assist with Help Desk calls and support tickets as needed.
• Support remote-access issues, VPNs, and wired/wireless networks.
• Provide basic end-user equipment support including printers and copiers.
