Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Physical Engineer | Regional Technical Leader to provide technical and organizational leadership within the Power and Energy practice. Lead HV substation design, act as Engineer of Record, and grow a team of engineers across multiple offices.

The role requires strong leadership, 15 years of related experience, a PE license, and travel to various regional offices. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• PE license is required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV substation design from 230kV to 345kV as Engineer of Record (EOR).
• Review and approve engineering deliverables per client requirements and standards.
• Mentor engineers, manage performance, and support staff development.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for planning through startup to ensure on-time delivery.
• Support business development and client relationship management.
