Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Physical Engineer | Regional Technical Leader to provide technical and organizational leadership within our Power and Energy practice. This role focuses on HV substation design, leading complex projects, and mentoring engineers.

Ideal candidates will hold a PE license with 15 years of related experience, and be prepared to travel to multiple U.S. offices. You will drive technical excellence, quality, and client service across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with PE licensure.
• Minimum 15 years of related experience in HV substation design.
• Travel up to 10% across U.S. locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, execution, and delivery of HV substation projects from 230kV to 345kV.
• Act as Engineer of Record and technical authority for physical design and integration.
• Mentor staff and drive project performance and client satisfaction.
