Job summary

Westwood Professional Services is seeking an HR Generalist to provide day-to-day HR support across the North/Northwest region from our Westminster or Englewood offices. You will be the first point of contact for employee questions and help ensure programs, policies, and processes are delivered consistently across states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of progressive HR generalist experience.
• Working knowledge of federal employment laws and multi-state requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Office and experience in an HRIS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability and willingness to travel within the region.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for employees in the region on HR questions, policies, programs, and processes; resolve inquiries promptly.
• Partner with divisional HR Business Partners to carry out people priorities and initiatives.
• Support employee relations by interpreting policies, conducting intake and fact-finding, assisting with workplace investigations, and documenting outcomes.
• Coordinate with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers through the hiring process and deliver a consistent onboarding experience.
• Guide managers and employees through the performance management cycle including goal setting, reviews, and merit processes.
• Lead and support employee engagement, recognition, and retention efforts across regional offices; interpret survey results and implement action plans.
• Coordinate and deliver training and development programs, including onboarding, manager, and compliance training.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data; prepare HR reports and metrics to spot trends.
• Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states.
