Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a Regional HR Generalist in Kirkland, WA, to administer onboarding, benefits, leave management, and policy enforcement across regions.

This role requires confidentiality and strong customer-service skills for interactions with residents, associates and vendors, while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations through Paycom HRIS and related systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in human resources.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, labor standards, and HR best practices.
• Knowledge of FMLA/leave administration; certifications preferred.
• Professional HR certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; diplomacy and discretion.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases and large projects.
• Proficiency in HRIS and case management tools.
• Experience with Paycom and Paycom Reporting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Yardi and Paycom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding and pre-hire paperwork processing in Paycom HRIS.
• Maintain employee records in compliance with laws and policy.
• Administer benefits programs including health, HSA, dental, vision, life and 401(k).
• Handle COBRA, enrollments, terminations, changes, and beneficiary data.
• Manage 401(k) paperwork including rollovers and distributions.
• Audit HR tasks for compliance with policies and legal standards.
• Respond to employee and management inquiries on leaves and accommodations.
• Support Leave of Absence processes and coordinate with HR & Payroll Manager.
• Assist with Paycom tasks and troubleshoot portal access.
• Keep up-to-date on HR trends and employment laws.
