Job summary

Generational Care in Richland, WA is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to provide hands-on, end-to-end HR support onsite. You will serve as the HR point of contact for employees and supervisors on policies, benefits, and employment practices.

You will coordinate recruitment and onboarding, manage leaves, workers’ compensation, and safety initiatives, and maintain HRIS data. A Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of HR experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent HR education and experience).
• Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible HR experience.
• Working knowledge across multiple HR disciplines including recruitment, benefits, leave administration, safety, compliance, and payroll.
• Experience with HRIS or other employee information systems.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects and HR responsibilities.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR point of contact for employees and supervisors on policies, benefits, and employment practices.
• Handle employee relations, investigations, and policy guidance with follow-up.
• Coordinate recruitment, selection, and onboarding activities including candidate screening and background checks.
• Coordinate and track leaves and accommodations including FMLA and state paid leave programs.
• Manage workers’ compensation workflow, return-to-work processes, and safety initiatives.
• Support benefits and compensation administration including enrollment and audits.
• Maintain HRIS data; troubleshoot system issues and assist with testing and implementations.
• Prepare and analyze HR reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain HR procedures, workflows, forms, and training resources.
• Own assigned projects from planning through implementation.
